Paul Moorhouse: We’re standing in entrance of a full-measurement cartoon for Cosmos, the new wall painting that might be put in at Christchurch Art Gallery. Most not too long ago, Jose Dávila was selected as the winner of the 2014 EFG ArtNexus Latin America Art Award, Kehinde Wiley was presented with a 2015 U.S. Division of State Medal of Arts, Candida Höfer was awarded the 2015 Cologne Artwork Prize and in 2016 Anthony McCall was introduced with The American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Art, which honors exceptional accomplishments and encourages inventive work.
Borea’s work has been shown in numerous exhibitions in Europe, Latin America and the U.S. including Queens Museum of Artwork in New York Metropolis, Museo del Barrio in New York City, Museum of Wonderful Arts in Boston (Cisneros Fontanals Assortment), Dublin Up to date, Museo Laboratorio in Italy, Art Museum of the Americas in DC, and Museo de Huelva in Spain.
He has participated in multiple solo and group exhibitions, recently: In Someways It Is”(solo) at Y Gallery-New York; The Sun Is A Hole”(solo) at OMR-Mexico Metropolis; Works on Paper” at Häusler Contemporary; Storytellers” at The Stenersen Museum – Oslo; Paraíso en Blanco” at 80m2, Peru; ik wordt” at Voorkamer, Belgium, amongst others.
