There is need for occupant of any home to ensure that they keep their home clean and all the appliances including the Heat, Ventilation and Air conditioning system commonly referred to as HVAC. HVAC systems are vital to any household as they control the quality of air that the individuals inhale where they remove infections causing impurities such as fungi, algae, mold, and bacteria. An unclean air duct and ventilation system exposes the occupants of the home to different airborne diseases that are caused by the impurities and to protect the family from contracting such diseases there is need for one to maintain a clean air atmosphere in the house. There are different ways that have been applied to clean the HVAC systems, but one of the most effective ways involves the use of vacuum cleaners. Vacuum cleaners that are used to clean the air ducts or the ventilation systems are specialized and powerful and work by applying negative pressure to the system. When a vacuum cleaner is placed it draws air through the system where there are others devices that are inserted to help dislodge debris and other contaminants sticking to the interior surfaces of the systems which are deposited in the vacuum. Devices that are attached to the vacuum collection devices include brushes, skipper balls and air whips that agitate the contaminants that are attached to the surfaces which are pulled to the into the vacuum collection device.
After cleaning a system using the vacuum cleaning devices one needs to use sanitizer chemicals which are added to remove any microbes that can cause different infections. Before purchasing any chemical sanitizer there is need for one to ensure that a brand they choose have been standardized by the regulatory bodies. To fog the chemical sanitizers into the HVAC systems the atomizer devices are used but there is need for one to ensure that a brand they pick has no side effects to human, pets and the environment. In homes where there are elderly occupants there is need for one to seek active sanitizers which can clean microbes from the air which include fungi, algae, and bacteria which usually cause respiratory diseases. There is need for one to select chemical sanitizers which have low toxicity ratings thus avoid harmful dermal, inhalation and digestion effects to either humans and pets.
One should consider having their ventilation systems regularly cleaned especially after having settled in a new home, having carried out remodeling or renovation of the house, or when they have pets that shed hair in the house.
