Just identify a community center or even college close to where you live and take any GED course. The application process is pretty simple and you should not take too long to be done. After you have the certificate, the next thing is background test. This test will determine whether you will be admitted to the real estate school or not. Even if you have a criminal record, this should not be used in determining whether you will become an agent or not. The only thing those with a criminal record will have to do more than the usual application process is making an application to get a background clearance. It is worth noting that you will have to complete a 75-hour course before getting licensed. Also, you should know that the coursework is only considered if it is taken at a school that is approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission. To be qualified for licensure, you will need to undertake 10-quarter hours or just 6-semester hours of applicable work. You can think of it as an internship. Once you are a year-old in the field, a post-license class on new laws is a requirement.
